Welcomes you to the International Conference of Trends in Furniture and Living 2024 which will be held 24 October 2024 at a chateau in Křtiny, Czech Republic, which is held under the auspices of Mendel university in Brno, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Department of Furniture and Design.

The conference will be held in the beautiful Moravian Karst in Chateau Křtiny. The Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary, an prominent piece of architecture by architect Jan Santini Aichel, who is also the author of the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk (UNESCO), is in close proximity to Chateau Křtiny. The vast arboretum near the chateau is a great place to relax.

Goals

  • The International Conference of Trends in Furniture and Living 2024 is to familiarize the professional community with the problems concerning the design and manufacturing of furniture through expert seminars and studies. The goal of the conference is to present a venue for the presentation of results from the areas of research, development and manufacturing of furniture and other related industries, as well as to enable professional networking. The discussion can serve to broaden the cooperation of interested organizations and to enable the faster distribution and implementation of research. The conference and proceedings will be exclusively in English.

  • Professionals in the associated areas of wood, chemical, and machinery industries.

Conference Programme

  • The conference programme will be published on FB 14 days before the conference.

Proceedings

  • The proceedings will only be published electronically and will be available online on the publisher’s website.  Texts will only be accepted in English (British English). Each accepted paper will be assigned its own DOI identifier. The whole proceedings will be submitted to the Web of Sciences (WoS) for evaluation, and its acceptance is not fully guaranteed. All abstracts and full papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The conference is governed by the rules and publication ethics below. Mendel University in Brno is the publisher of the proceedings.
