Teaching is modern, supported by science, practice and current technologies:

  • Virtual reality for authentic visualization of projects of timber constructions
  • Multimedia teaching materials – Anatomy of wood incl. lexicon of woods, Lexicon of tropical woods
  • Universal laser system for the production of models of timber houses and their parts
  • Instruments for non-destructive testing of wood and tree diagnostics for teaching and practice
  • Experimental wooden house woodenHAT for testing and demonstration of the temperature and moisture fields in a real building
  • The multi-functional classroom for creative and inquisitive students is equipped by numerous samples of parts of timber buildings, windows and doors of various types, materials for floors and model-making equipment enabling the production of prototypes and models of real structures
  • The wood pavilion offers a taste of Industry 4.0 in education, the whole process of development encompasses product design /  software optimization / production preparation and its simulation / production using CNC / assembly
  • Specialized laboratories for testing, treatment, and modification of wood and development of wood-based materials for research and practice
  • Partner companies and institutions cooperate in the preparation of classes, enable excursions, practical trainings and the preparation of final theses, and the representatives pass on their experience in classes
  • Broad international cooperation brings lecturers from abroad and the increasing offer of study in English
