The Student Association at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno (SPLDF) was founded in the year 1989. It brings together not only students of the FFWT, but also students from all other faculties, in interest groups and clubs providing extra-curricular activities.
The Association is involved in such events as e.g. the FFWT MENDELU Representative Ball, raising a traditional May pole or “Prvákoviny” for freshmen at MENDELU. Together with other faculty student associations, we participate in the organization of a number of other events. We welcome students of all faculties within MENDELU who are willing to become members of the SPLDF and are willing to contribute to its activities. The association currently has sections for Gamekeeping, GREEN Club, International Section, FFWT trumpeters, LEF magazine, Falconry nad Wood Section. At the faculty you will find the SPLDF in building B in the Department of Silviculture.
