Before project proposal preparation
Check in available and public project databases whether the project on a similar topic has already been implemented before you start preparing a project proposal. You will be sure that the topic you proposed has not yet been dealed with. If you find in the databases the project on a similar topic, it will help you to explain in your project proposal how your project is different and distinquish it from other projects.

Project proposal preparation
1. When a new call for projects is announced, register your project by completing the faculty “Project Proposal Form“. The completed „Project Proposal Form“ will be presented by the Grant Office at the Dean´s Collegium (dates of the collegiums – here). Project proposals are usually discussed on the Collegium monthly and Project Proposal Forms should be sent in advance, at the latest by Friday before the date of the Dean´s Collegium.
2. The next step is to complete the “Project Cover Sheet“. This document together with any other attachments (that have to be signed by the Statutory Authority of MENDELU ) has to be given to the Grant Office until the specified date or at the latest 4 days before the deadline of the call. The “Project Cover Sheet” must be signed in line number 2 (signature of the faculty project coordinator) and then in line number 8 the co-financing (in case the co-financing is required) and in line number 11 „ineligible costs“ (must be always filled in) where the Head of Department or the Faculty Bursar confirm by their signature the financial sources for possible ineligible costs in the project.
3. All the project documentation that requires the signature of the Statutory Authority of MENDELU must be sent to the faculty Grant Office which will arrange it.
4. The faculty Grant Office will also send project documentation via MENDELU data mailbox if it is required by the Grant Provider.
After announcement of results
1. If your project is accepted, please send the binding parameters of your project to the Grant Office.
2. After the Grant agreement is signed by the grant provider/project coordinator, pass the Grant Agreement to the Budget Section of the MENDELU Economic Department. All the Grant Agreements (except for agreements with national grant providers or EU grants) must be approved by the MENDELU Legal Department before the signature of the Statutory Authority. The project coordinator will communicate the details of the Grant Agreement with the MENDELU Legal Department himself. (If you are not sure which Grant Agreement must be checked by the MENDELU Legal Department, ask the Grant Office for help.)
We recommend forwarding the documents to be signed by the Rector in advance, so you can be sure you have the required documents signed in time.
